Established
in 1921, Foster Fuels, Inc. is a third-generation Foster family owned-and-operated
business headquartered in Campbell County Virginia. Foster Fuels now serves
customers in all regions of the United States. Foster Fuels begain serving
central and southside Virginia in 1921 when L.H. Foster arranged with Texaco
to become the area's first 
Texaco
jobber. He worked diligently to fulfill the petroleum needs of the community.
His two sons, L.H. Foster Jr. and Watt Robert (Bobby) Foster, continued his
work and expanded the business by acquiring other jobbers. In 1960, they started
a propane gas distributorship which became one of the largest and most successful
in Virginia with almost 5,000 customers.
In September 2002, the Fosters made the decision to sell the propane division. Following that time, Foster Fuels, Inc. continued to grow in the bulk petroleum distribution business by offering first-rate service and sound, competitive prices. They also continued to market kerosene, home heating oil, diesel, and gasoline to residential, farm, small distributors, and retail customers. Today, Foster Fuels is in its third generation of Foster family ownership under Watt R. Foster, Jr. Foster Fuels is now approaching 50 million gallons of annual petroleum sales. In 2003, the transport division has added a depot in Montvale, and continues to experience solid growth.
In 2006, after a four year absence in the propane gas market, Foster Fuels, Inc. announced the rebirth of a propane division. Foster Fuels offers propane delivery by bulk tanker and by bobtail. They also have full time service crews and tank installation. Fosters has capacity to serve any size customer with reliability, strong customer service, and low prices. Aqcuisitions of Tate's Gas Appliances in Danville, VA and Neighbors LP Gas in Brookneal, VA have helped to bolster propane service territory. Foster services over 3,500 propane customers from three area locations.
A new 20,000 square foot shop and office has been completed in Campbell County, Virginia. The facility houses Foster Fuels headquarters and features a state of the art 210,000 gallon bulk storage facility and truck maintenance facility. Included in this facility is a 30,000 heated biodiesel tank. In addition, 120,000 gallons of Propane storage is on site.

Residential
Foster Fuels serves
residential customers in fifteen counties selling propane, home heating oil,
and kerosene. Our deliveries are prompt and our delivery personnel courteous
and experienced. Most of our customers know their delivery driver by name,
and our drivers know theirs. The Foster residential delivery staff is experienced,
averaging about 15 years each with the company. We offer automatic fill service
where we will make sure you never run out of fuel. Senior customers receive
a discount, and we give a discount to our cash paying customers. Ask about

Agricultural
Foster Fuels carries
a full line of agricultural petroleum products, including motor oils, and
greases. We have served this area's farmers for eighty five years, providing
them with exceptional service and prices. Foster Fuels was here in the 40's
& 50's when Brookneal was one of southside VA's major tobacco markets.
We understood the needs of farmers then, and we understand them now.
Today, we continue to serve many agricultural interests like tobacco, cattle,
timber, and other crops. The Fosters are active supporters of educational
agricultural programs. Foster Fuels also has a special interest in serving

Serving mom and
pop country stores and major convenience markets is one of the largest divisions
of our business. We currently serve retail outlets in VA, WV, NC, and TN either
by small tank wagons or large capacity tankers. We offer same-day service,

Emergency
Over the past few years, Foster
Fuels has expanded its commercial emergency fuel supply services and capabilities.
We are now capable of responding within 24 hours or less to customers anywhere
along the east coast. We responded quickly with bulk fuel, trucks, and manpower
during hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Isabel and Ivan when power and fuel supply
was cut off for days and even weeks. During recent winters when supply was
short, we have delivered kerosenes to northeast jobbers. Our vast supply network,
on-site storage, equipment, and trained staff help us to be a leader in this
